Action Labs In Full Flight...

It's been an amazing six weeks, with fifteen action labs running concurrently, all focused on making change happen within one organisation. It's been amazing because our approach to changing and transforming organisations seems to work - and resoundingly so, judging by the more than 2,000 concepts for change we received.
As per today, Friday, June 11th we completed all workshops and are now processing all entries to produce a 'clean' charter of submissions that doesn't include duplications and ambiguities. The final charter will provide the basis for our recommendations for the implementation of change and transformation, which we will first present to all Action Lab participants across three sites in New Zealand, then, after making final modifications and alterations to the charter, to our client's top and senior management team on July 22th.
Irrespective the outcome of the decision made by our client's top and senior leadership teams - go forwarth with implementation, or not - it already has been a remarkable experience for us. Seldom have I witnessed teams of cross-functional and hierarchical teams work so dillengently on the planning of their organisation's improvement - happening within a seemingly highly siloed organisation. As said, it's been remarkable.
Next week I'll post updates on our work, which will chiefly consist of desk-bound analysis of responses and the compilation of our final report.
Perhaps good to mention here as well that we're running almost three weeks ahead of our project schedule due to some clever ideas on how to expedience the analysis of data, the having at hand of best of breed software and analytical skills we think is available today and, of course, our ambition and commitment to deliver the best results possible.
To me personally: Organisational Change and Business Transformation has become simpler than ever before thanks to an uncompromised commitment and dedication to both by all who participated to this initiative. I cannot thank them enough for giving me the learning and experience.
