• Introducing Our GBLCG.com Facebook Fan Page

      Attachment 117
GBLCG.com’s Facebook Fan Page now informs our Facebook Friends what we stand for, what we’re up to and where we are going with GBLCG.com.

Essentially, our Facebook Fan Page acts as an extension of GBLCG.com and will include links to the articles, blogs and posts we and our members publish. In the near future this page will provide a clear and consistent overview of the discussions we host on our site.

Obviously, the page’s main objective is to increase our GBLCG.com membership. To achieve this we will put considerable thought in the way we post our links and in the development of the publications they link to.

Because many of these articles will be business orientated and frequently of a provokative nature we don’t expect to attract large audiences initially. Instead, our objective is to ‘syphon’ quality contributors and dedicated, committed members from Facebook to pick the best collaborators from our Facebook networks.

A secondary objective of our GBLCG.com Facebook Fan Page is to build our mail list. To achieve this many – if not all – of the links we’ll publish on our Fan Page will route ‘clickers’ past a so-called ‘Optin’ application that asks visitors to share their contact details with us.

If visitors prefer not to have their contact details shared they can ‘deny’ the request, following which they are automatically routed to the page they requested to see.

If they accept to share their details, the app will add their Facebook details to our mail list whilst opening the requested GBLCG.com page. In both cases, visitors are not required to complete any other action – all is done automatically.

GBLCG.com Facebook Fan Page Content Links>>

Initially, we will only publish links to GBLCG.com Latest News articles and Blogs on our Facebook Fan Page to have them act as ‘entry points’ to our site. This makes sense as the majority of Articles and Blogs we’ll publish will be viewable by guests and visitors – unlike most threads and posts, which will remain accessible by Registered Members only.

Referring GBLCG.com Facebook Fan Page visitors to ‘shielded’ content – content that can only be viewed by Registered Members – isn’t useful as the site will invariably block a visitor’s access upon arrival at GBLCG.com by means of a warning message. More than likely, this will only frustrate visitors, which obviously is not what we want to do.

GBLCG.com Facebook Fan Page Versus GBLCG.com Innovation Group Page

The GBLCG.com Facebook Fan Page will work in tandem with our GBLCG.com Innovation Group Page – but will differ in one respect. The Fan Page remains accessible to all visitors as an ‘open’ page. This means that any Facebook account holder can view our Fan Page content at any time. Visitors can ‘Like’ our page as with any other Facebook Fan Page.

In contrast, visitors need to receive an invitation from us to view our GBLCG.com Innovation Group Page, which acts as a Closed Group. The point of this is that we want to exert some control over this page’s view, access and write permissions, chiefly to keep posts ‘clean’ and ‘on-topic’. Moreover, we want to provide members with a page that’s managed professionally – not in the least to protect their commentary.

      Generating GBLCG.com Fan Page Likes

As said before, our Fan Page works like any other Facebook Fan Page in that people can ‘Like’ it. To accelerate the reception of ‘Likes’ we recently launched a web page that’s published outside Facebook’s domain but interacts with Facebook directly.

This ‘GBLCG.com LikeList’ Page includes a number of posts – mostly sourced from YouTube – which may relate directly or indirectly to the topics we discuss at GBLCG.com.

View here my article Introducing Our GBLCG.com LikeList Page.

Finally, I sincerely hope our work will intrigue you enough to keep re-posting our links – which is perhaps the most important mechanism through which we must continue to receive ‘Likes’.

In the meantime – take care, and hope to see you back here shortly…

      Raymond
